The Company

We’ve partnered with a well-established national builder that has been delivering commercial projects across Australia for over 50 years. Known for handling complex commercial and retail builds up to $100M, they have a steady pipeline of work with repeat blue-chip clients and a stable, experienced team.

The Role

Based in Richmond, you’ll take the lead on high-value, complex tenders from initial review through to award. This is a senior, hands-on role where you will run your own bids, identify commercial risks and value engineering opportunities, and help mentor junior estimators across the team.

Key Responsibilities

• Run end-to-end tenders for major commercial and retail packages up to $100M.

• Produce detailed first-principles estimates, scopes of work, and trade packages.

• Review subcontractor quotes and lead scope clarifications.

• Identify value-engineering options and project risks to protect margins.

• Provide technical guidance and day-to-day mentoring to junior team members.

• Lead handover meetings with the project delivery team once tenders are won.

Requirements:

• At least 10+ years estimating within Australian commercial construction.

• Demonstrated experience as an Estimator working on Commercial and retail projects.

• Knowledge of Cubit, Cubit Select, or Buildsoft.

• Deep understanding of construction methodologies, local subbie networks, and building codes.

• A relevant degree in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or equivalent practical industry experience.

• Full, unrestricted Australian working rights.
